The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the legal regulations (GDPR, TKG 2003). In this privacy information we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing within the scope of our website.
Access Logs
We automatically collect technical data regarding access to our websites and store them as server log files. The following information is logged: the page visited, time of access, amount of data sent, referrer source, browser type, operating system, and IP address (anonymized).
This data is used solely for statistical analysis, website improvement, security, and troubleshooting.
The storage period is a maximum of 30 days. We reserve the right to review the server log files retrospectively if there are concrete indications of illegal use.
Contact
If you contact us via our website form, live chat, or email, the information you provide (name, email, phone, and message) will be stored to process your inquiry and to assist with any follow-up questions.
When using our live chat and accepting our privacy notice, the data provided (name, email, customer ID if applicable, and message) along with technical data (anonymized IP address) will be shared with our live chat provider and processor, tawk.to inc. (USA). This may involve the transfer of personal data to a country outside the European Union. For further details, please refer to the tawk.to privacy policy.
Data storage
To process your contract, we store your first and last name, address, email address, and phone number. This information is necessary to fulfill our agreement or to carry out pre-contractual measures; without this data, we cannot complete the contract with you.
If you cancel the checkout process, the data we have stored will be deleted. In the event of a completed contract, all data from the contractual relationship will be stored until the end of the tax law retention period (7 years).
Data processing is based on the legal provisions of § 96 Para. 3 TKG as well as Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a (consent) and lit. b (necessary for contract fulfillment) of the GDPR.
Data Transfer to Third Parties
We do not transfer your data to third parties, except for payment details sent to our payment providers to process transactions, or to domain registries and certificate authorities to fulfill your contract.
When paying via PayPal, we share your name, address, email, phone number, order details, and the total amount with PayPal (Europe) S.à.r.l. This transfer is required to process the payment; otherwise, you may choose a different payment method. More info: https://www.paypal.com/privacy
For credit card payments, we share your contact details, customer/order numbers, billing amount, and payment details (bank or card info) with Stripe Payments Europe Limited. This is necessary for the transaction. More info: https://stripe.com/at/privacy
To register or transfer a domain, we collect your name, company info, address, email, phone, and sometimes ID data or date of birth. This is sent to the relevant registry (e.g., nic.at for .at domains). You can find the specific registry for each extension in our product descriptions. Registries store this data for the duration of the registration and typically up to two years after the domain expires or is deleted.
If you register a domain with a registry outside the EU or EEA, your data may be transferred to regions with different data protection standards. To ensure European-level protection, we recommend choosing extensions like .at, .de, or .eu.
When you request an SSL certificate, we share your name, address, company, email, and phone number with the certification authority for validation and issuance purposes.
